DeWalt Chuck

Have a keyless chuck on my 18v drill/driver - hammer drill. The chuck took a dump. Where can I just order a new one? I don't really care about the warranty or costs, just want the part.
Thx

Re: DeWalt Chuck

in So Cal, use ORCO or White Cap

Keyless chucks have a shorter life span when using on a hammer drill

Re: DeWalt Chuck

White Cap...I totally forgot about that place. There is one about 15 minutes from me. Do you know if that is an order item, or an instock thing?

I was at Hayward the other day (in Santa Barbara) and I was asking about the chuck. Guy says screw DeWalt and hands me a paper from Hitachi offering 100 bucks off any cordless hitachi when you turn in a DeWalt cordless. I just can't bring myself to do it. Hitachi seems like the Hyundai of cars. Mind you, I beat the crap out of my tools, so I kinda expect them to not hold up too long.

As for the chuck, it has always given me problems. Right out of the box it was letting go of bits, hammer drill has work perfectly and makes my work go much faster, so I kinda want to keep it working. Drive still works fine, just can't loosen or tighten ...it's stuck with a 3/16" masonary bit at the moment!!

Re: DeWalt Chuck

Look on Dewalts website for a phone number, I had a problem with a trigger on a sawzall that was five years old and they sent me a new N/C.

Re: DeWalt Chuck

H.D. actually has a Jacobs chuck that will fit on there as a replacement.
