Re: Brands

Can't go wrong with Hitachi. Most of my pneumatics are Senco, but I do have 2 Hitachi pneumatics. I haven't purchased any Hitachi power tools, but I sure wouldn't rule them out for my next purchase. If nothing else, they sure LOOK cool.

Re: Brands

I have the Hitachi framing nailer and absoutly love it, however I've had two of thier portable table saws and wasn't happy with them. Hitachi is a good brand but like all tool company's some of the tools ar great and some leave something to be desired. Thats why I never buy on brand alone.

Re: Brands

Their impact gun is good I've been told but it is a bit to goofy looking for someone over 30

I have:

18V Combo kit - 1/2" drill, Recipricating saw, 6 1/2" circular saw, light and a 30' extension cord that connects the tools to the charger.

Portable Table Saw

Portable Dust Collector (fancy Shop Vac)

Barrel Handle Jig Saw

18V Impact Driver - I won't build a deck without it!

And, I love them all.

Re: Brands

I am with Decks on this one. I started out a year ago with an 18V kit for $299 and it's still going strong. I since have bought a 4" grinder, 3x21 belt sander, extra 18V drill, 14V impact driver which drives 6" lags for hours on a single charge, 3/8 corded drill, 1/2" hammer drill, and a few other odds and ends. The 10" portable table saw I did not buy after watching it fall over while trying to rip plywood. The third leg did not offer the stability needed. Although it has just been dropped to $199 because they redesigned the stand on the new model . I know the things look a little strange but I like the way the handles are made to let sweat run off in the grooves and down the bottom. For the price and quality as of now I have no reason not to stick with them. Although I have to admit that after buying the impact driver, Senco 18V, and Senco Deck Driver im not sure when my 18V drills may be used again.

Re: Brands

Their NR90AE is the prettiest gun I've ever seen. I used it for three months at a rate I would call intermediate duty, and it jams worse than aything I've ever experienced. Proper oiling and maintenance was done on it daily. Prettiest piece of crap I've ever seen. Think I'll hang it on the wall.
