Bosch Router Table

I own two Bosch routers, so when I needed a router table I purchased the Bosch. I like it just fine except for the fact that the slots that the fence tightening bolts (carriage bolts) go through is nothing but MDF. The shoulder of the carriage bolts in the MDF slots are what hold the fence in place. After using it for 3 months (not daily) the slot on one has wollered out and it will not tighten properly. Any ideas for a fix? They should have installed some type of metal channel in the slots.

Re: Bosch Router Table

There are third party fence units you can buy that will enhance your table. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the company/unit, but a buddy of mine replaced all of his fences before the new tables got used. Has the same site table saw as mine and he does get a truer line. They bolt on to most common tables.

Re: Bosch Router Table

My suggestions are...
Add a couple of metal channels to the existing table and make it work, probably with different bolts, etc.or,
Add a couple of wings to the fence and use c-clamps to hold it to the table, or,
get something like this. It has clamps that will take 1 3/8" stock or less. It's what I use and it works great.
