i have one and love it for its intended purposes. i use it doing punchout work, assembling cabinets, light switches/receptacles, and the such. as far as driving power, i think bosch over rates it. it got hung up on a new charge driving 3 inch sheet rock screws thru osb and into yellow pine window frames. all in all, i love mine and would buy it again as an accessory- not as my main srew gun.

SYP can be a booger to put a screw into. Your machine either doesn't have the ass to do it and stalls (like above) or it breaks the screw or strips the head (like my 18V Bosch). SYP is just a tough wood sometimes. If it gave it a good try and failed, I'd say that was a point in its favor, not a bad thing.

I've busted the cases on DeWalt 18V drivers putting deck screws into SYP.

i guess this would be more of a convenience tool than a real work horse, but for alot of applications that call for light duty,, this would fit into that description...

don't get me wrong. i absolutely LOVE mine. i have learned what its limits are and work around them. i think the best part of that tool is its size and weight when doing punchout. it is small enough and light enough that it will comfortable fit in a back pocket or a tool pouch and free up space in my bucket for door knobs, switch covers, towel bars and the such. i actually have the little blue case it comes with filled with it, a pack of assorted screw driver bits, and offset screwdriver, and a 4 in 1. i take that in when trimming out a house and have all of the screwing tools i need in a small package.

I bought the Bosch 10.8 I driver and I love it it is not my 18v Hitachi but works great for putting on face frames on a cabinet or adjusting drawers I love it.

If you have a Fastenal in your area, they are selling them for $120. Picked up one last week. Love it so far.

I have used one for the past few months and not an issue yet. My wrist fell great not having to handle a heavy Ridgid or Dewalt for service work.
