Bosch Litheon 10.8V I-Driver

I have seen the advertisements for this thing but never used one thought it might be kind of weak with only 80in# of torque but i was working in a tight spot today with hand drive screws and i said something has got to give. Any advice????

Is that the new little driver they have ?saw one at the lumber yard last week, about a 150.00 bucks for it. I was sooooo tempted to buy it. I would have but, had no immediate need for it,not that it usually stops me. Going to be in my crib sooner than later. Was real close to the buy it now.

I am interesting, do this Bosch I-driver have a function of fast spindle halt, like other big screwdrivers. Or it have only torque limitation.

I had ordered one from Amazon couple months ago but still waiting for it to ship.
I liked the I-driver better than the one that looks like a small drill, just wish it was like the cheap black and decker and used a double end bit for quicker change between phillips and flat head. Should be great for electrical work like changing outlets and plates.

Think its over priced but also a tool whore.

- i think nose piece on small drills not needed because its value is light weight and quick bit change.
- Possible guilty concept Metabo "checking Li-ion battery electronics inwardly battery".

I just bought one the other day. Awesome little tool! Plenty of power for its intended use...drives 3" screws into hardwood with no problem at all. Battery last forever too. Fits into tight spots very nicely as well. A little on the expensive side but worth it imo.

I read a review about li-ion tools a while back- they were measuring the runtime of the tools by drilling in 5" lags (most of the tools being reviewed were 18-28 volt screwguns and impacts) the little bosch didn't get many, but the fact that it could do any is impressive

Just bought this 10.8V I-Driver™ Model PS10-2
http://www.boschtools.com/tools/tool...tm?H=189200&G=
70084&I=69859
for a kitchen install that had a couple 9" cabinets,it worked great and had very respectable power. The "soft start" takes a little getting used to.

We have had a DeWalt screw runner for a few years and it has held up well to considerable abuse.

I actually used Black & Decker 7.2V homeowner drills for gutter installations. They were super light, held a charge for what I needed them for (zip screws in light gauge aluminum gutters) and were cheap ($20.ea).

I wanted something in that size, but with the performance of the DeWalts I used on the job. The DeWalts were too big and cumbersome for the light work and the 12v/14v were not much different size wise.

Bosch must have read my mind. The 10V looks great.

Can't wait to see how the other companies reponds.

If DeWalt doesn't respond quick, I'm going to pick up that Bosch!
