Bosch Framing Nailer
i was just wondering if anyone was using the bosch 3 1/2" framing nailer/compressor combo and what they thought. menards has it for $430, and i am considering buying it. the only thing i dont like is that it only accepts the nails that are wire welded together, rather that the paper and glue. thanks to all

Re: Bosch Framing Nailer
I have seen the hitachi nailgun/compressor combo before for $400 but I dont think that is normal pricing. I would look and see if you can get the hitachi at that price because NOTHING beats the hitachi. Buy it once and never worry about it.

Re: Bosch Framing Nailer
Bostich makes a good gun also. My compressor is an Englo but I have 2 Bostich framers and 2 roofers a stapler or 2 a finnish nailer. They all stand up well.

Re: Bosch Framing Nailer
i have bostitch wire nailer and it is a hammer. i really like mine. i also have a paper tape nailer that is by rigid and it is good tool.
most of the guys in my area use the bostitch and they are stout guns that hold up well under various abuse and use. |

Re: Bosch Framing Nailer
Go to Lowes and get the Hitachi combo kit. $379 here in Des Moines. Once you use a Hitachi you will never use anything else!! Save yourself $50 and a lot of headaches

Re: Bosch Framing Nailer
The hitachi is smaller than the bostich as well. Makes it a lot easier to get it in places... BTW I am not bashing bostich they are great guns... however hitachi is just better.

Re: Bosch Framing Nailer
I just bought my 1st bostitch Framer, used it today to put down 1/4 " ply over subfloor & the gun shot double nails quite often, also missed fire more than usual. I tried different pressures but didnt make a different. Anyone ever have any of these problems.
Thanks frank |
