BOSCH/Fein/Milwaukee/FESTOOL !!!

I just landed a huge job installing millwork panelling at an Olympic Village Convention Center in Vancouver. I am in the market for the most dust effecient Vacuum from one of these vac's. I want to know what your guys thoughts are and reviews on these vacs are. Mainly used for miter saw, table saw, belt sanders and routers...

Thanks in advance....
Mike

Re: BOSCH/Fein/Milwaukee/FESTOOL !!!

CT-22, tool triggered on/off, dual HEPA filters, Anti-static hose, locking wheels, disposable paper filter bags (no mess), adjustable suction, 92" static water lift.

I dont like the Fein, akward to move around and store.

Bosch is very nice unit, its pretty big though.

Just buck up and sell you milwakee saw, buy the kapex and a CT-22.

Trust me, get a CT-22, they are awesome and Festool's customer service is awesome. They really just love tools!!

The only difference between the 22 and 33 is capacity and weight.

I travel a lot with my 22 and I would like to buy another so I could have 2 set up on site or at home.

They are super quiet.

And if you have a bunch of 'paneling' to put up, invest is a TS-55 track saw with a long rail. Way easier than running something through a table saw, and splinter-free.

You would save enough time to pay for 2 of those saws.

Re: BOSCH/Fein/Milwaukee/FESTOOL !!!

I know that it cut my time in half paneling houses. Dont ask but, I did 3 last year, the whole houses. It was like a dark cave of varnished wood depression in there. The ceilings were even pine car siding, stained. (3 insurance jobs all beside each other)

I cranked the last 2 out in half the time, and I didn't make a mess.
Just be careful, Festool is the crack of the tool industry.

Re: BOSCH/Fein/Milwaukee/FESTOOL !!!

yes, warner is right, they are time saving tools.

i have the ts 75 saw and the ct 33 vac with boom option, i bought them all used and its by far the best investment i have made, just a shame i didnt know about them 10 yrs ago!

i also bougt 2 mft 3 tables used, the only thing from festooli bought new was the ets 150/5 sander(AWSOME WITH THE VAC) you will be selling off your old stuff as soon as you make your first purchase!

GOOD LUCK, and if your married make sure you have plenty of dropcloths in the garage to cover up the new goodies from the wife!

I drag my new one's home and proudly display them in the living room for at least a day.

That's a close as it gets to clubbing dinner and bringing it home.

I just bought 900 bucks worth of plastic boxes does that count?

I was about to do the vacume/ts55 thing until i did the math on the rail extensions, clamps, etc.

You are most definatley in, if you spent that amount on the cases and still didn't buy a tool, I know you have a problem

Pfft! There is alot more proof then just plastic cases lol.

I'm sure their stuff is awesome, but its definitly wood-worker kinda tools...which I am not.

If festool updated their drill and came out with an impact chuck i would be ALL over it and I mean ALL freaking over it.
