Bosch Angle Finder Spring Angle ? Storing For The Day Possible?

Anyone know if you can store the spring angle for the entire job? Setting the spring angle before measuring each corner a bit of a pain. I had to set it 18 times today as I measured 18 corners
Great tool, just a bit of extra work. Thanks in advance for any answers,
Steve

Nope you can't. It is a big problem and they are made aware of it, but haven't done anything about yet.

No, - - you would have to re-set it every time.

Just make a scrap piece of wood duplicating your spring angle and use it for a quick set every time.

Also, - - it's easier to just take all your corner-angle readings at once, - - recording them as you go, - - then record your 'spring and corner' computations before you even make your first cut. Even faster yet if you attach your 'scrap-spring-angle-setter' right to your work-table , for a quick set and read . . .

You're better off yet just using your angle-finder to read your corners and just have a chart handy.

I like the novelty of the angle-finder myself, - - but speed is of the essence, - - especially when doing more than just a few angles.

And, as Jim (clampman) pointed out in one of these crown threads a while back, - - a degree or two variation from 90 (or whatever) in your corner angle affects your fit very, very little . . .
