Best Small Air Compressor?

Time for a new compressor, my Emglo twin tank just does not put out enough air. I'm looking for a portable twin tank style or pancake style thats quiet and has a fast recovery time and I can lift in and out of my job daily.

Rolair makes some great little compressors.

Check out the JC10. There have been some reviews on here recently.

I am picking one up in a month or so.

Re: Best Small Air Compressor?

I know it's not a twin stack and it looks like a monster to deal with but I have this one and REALLY like it. I just did about 1200 sq ft of texture with a hopper and this thing rocked it with no problem. 200 psi and recovery is great. It isn't that bad to haul around and it's not too loud. It isn't as quiet as a cheap little compressor that won't do anything but blow up tires but it isn't any worse than a chop saw or the like.

I can third the JC10. If your a one man show, odds are its the only compressor you need for nailing tasks.

Re: Best Small Air Compressor?

We,ve been very happy with the Rolair JC10 and our Makita MAC700. We use them for finish work, both are quiet and supply plenty of air.

The guys complain that the Makita is a little heavier than the Rolair but that has been the only complaint. Hope this helps.

Take the head off of it and clean out all the carbon and crap out, your compressors fine

I also happen to be in the market for a new air maker. I'm 99% sure I'll pull the trigger on this one next Friday.
