Re: Anybody Use The StairTool?
We are the source for the current day Stair-Template. Nobody died there was just a change in how we sold the product. Feel free to call me direct (908) 233-2600 if you would like to buy one. Thanks.

Re: Anybody Use The StairTool?
wow guys take it easy on stairguy. He's got a product that fills a void left by Porter Cable (actually Rockwell I think). I bought one of the new version stair router templates (from stairguy maybe I don't really know) because I couldn't get my hands on one of the originals. It works just as well as the original design and is worth the money to me. I think treads and risers routed into the stringers is the only way to go. Makes the most solid set of stairs I've ever walked on. Our customers love the "old style" construction.
If Porter Cable stopped producing them I can't understand why it would be a problem for someone else to start. Around here the old style templates are like gold. Stair guys will buy them up and throw them on the pile of 2 or 3 they already have just to keep them out of the hands of the competition. I was glad to find this new style. |

Re: Anybody Use The StairTool?
I need a porter cable or similar template for stair routing that will meet new stair code. I already have the Porter Cable Model 5061 but that only has a tread width of 10 1/4. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. CCC
