Anybody got one of Deez?

Sander.

If so what do you think of it?

Its saying orbital sander, are the orbits tiny like a palm sander?

Is it worth the dough?

Thanks,

Josh

not a big fan of that type of sander

get a Bosch detail sander, its small but very smooth, variable speed, can get into tight corners and really works very well and sands fast, sanding pads are easy to find at any Lowes or home depot

and is also inexpensive

I always thought those were kind of mousy. I have the Fein MM for profile sanding, 2 PC belt sanders (3x21,4x24), and the Hitachi palm sander. I'm looking for some middle ground.

My dad had one of those type sanders in the 70s. He called it a Jitterbug sander. May have been a Rockwell. All cast metal case.

i have a large PC belt sander and the small PC belt sander ,the Bosch palm sander as well, but the bosch detail sander gets used alot, get one and you will fall in love with it,i guarantee it will surprise you

Fein makes some great stuff,i dont have any of their tools though

the type of sander Handy is asking about is just a pain, youhave to cut the paper to fit,it has to be just the right size, its a pain to get stretched tight, and if its anything like the older ones it gives your hand quite the work out,for the money their asking there are alot better options

I dont know what you want to do with it but, it is still a RO sander. Those get kind of bouncy.

http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=18167 What about that? That would sand circles around the milwakee.

or this: http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=18162

Few different options with not much price difference.

Seems to me that Festool should have interchangeable heads for their compact sanders for the money they command.

I have 4 of thier sanders and I want them all. I used to hate sanding, now it is almost enjoyable. I use them mostley for stripping and restoration of exterior siding, window and door trim, stripping old doors, grinding mastic off the back of 3 wall tiles (color not availiable).

I ground a cast iron toilet stack down so the WC set flush with the floor.

Coped trim, sharpened my mower blades, you name it.

I think they have the best sandpaper available.

You want expensive:
