Any Recomendations On Electric Chainsaws?

I've been considering buying an electric chainsaw due to the reasonably high amount of indoor log work I've been doing. Does anyone have any experience with any of the corded saws?

Re: Any Recomendations On Electric Chainsaws?

I have this one, from Remmington. My one bucket truck has electric power in the bucket, so that's what I got it especially for. Saves trying to fire up a gas saw in a cramped bucket to get a limb out of the way. I don't know if mine's a good one or not, but I havn't had any issues with it. It's the only electric chainsaw I've ever used, and it's done everything I needed it to.

I have a Stihl electric chainsaw. The saw cuts with authority, and it really has a lot of torque. They made it especially for carpenters and woodworkers.

I'd go with the stihl too

This one won tools of trade review hands down (Stihl MSE 180 C-BQ)

Poulan ES300 16" bar was satisfactory until the planetary gear spun. 2 years old and the replacement part was 25. Been used on Junipers up to 8" diameter.
New part will last until it binds again.
Motor is unstoppable.

Thumbs up

I usually run Stihl gas saws but I've had incredible luck with Shindowa electrics. They just won't quit. You can run them for years....dull and without bar oil...(not that I would ever do that)

This chainsaw is a beast. Cuts like butter and is very durable. Makita UC4000. They rent them in Home Depot and they can take the abuse.
