Angle Finder

Anyone used the Starrett Protractor Angle Finder............or any other angle finders?............what do you think? I am thinking that one may be handy to have in the near future. Thanks for any and all replies.

Re: Angle Finder

I have one from Mayco Tools that I really like. The only problem I have with it is that the graduations on the scale are really small. I like that it has all the scales I need right on the body and blade.
I have read some not great things about the Starrett, the scale being put on at the factory a bit crooked +/-1 degree. I also know people that love theirs. The bosch digital also looks really nice. $$$$$

Re: Angle Finder

I've been using the Bosch A.W. is referring to for about 3-4 years now. Works great and never had a problem with accuracy yet.

Re: Angle Finder

Ditto That.

Get the Bosch. My sources tell me they are releasing a G2 model in the very near future. When that happens, I can assure you there will be a flood of G1's for sale on eBay. The G1 is great, don't get me wrong, but there are two things that would be nice to have on the updated model.

Re: Angle Finder

I just got the 12" starret for Christmas. When I get back to my shop I'll check the angles, but it's what I asked for.

Re: Angle Finder

I use a Starrett but a machinist model (I'm also a machinist) and it's what I have on hand. I also use a machinist's level for setting countertops and shelving. Dump your bag of marbles there and they're staying.
