Air Compressor And Power Inverter Question
Guys, heres the question
I have an ambient air pump rated at 110-115 volts, 60 cycle, 14 amps I want to run this pump off an 185 CFM @ 100 PSI diesel air compressors battery. My other alternative was to buy (already have ambient pump) an inline air filter to provide grade d breathing air to supplied respirators. Only problem with this option is that it requires 20 CMF of AIR. If I run this pump off the compressors battery, would it be able to supply my electrical demand and still supply 185 CFM @ 100 PSI to my blast nozzle? Or would it be a strain on the compressor? Most of the time I wouldn’t need to run the pump off the compressor, electric should be available in most cases, but I just want to know my options when there isn’t. 2 reasons why I choose ambient air 1) I didn’t like my breathing air coming from a diesel compressor 2) More air for nozzle/reserve I could get a larger compressor, but price tags on the larger units are very high. I got a could deal on the ambient pump and would like to utilize it. Thanks |
