After Market Table Saw Fence
I have a Excalibur 45" after market fence on my General 350 10" table saw. It has 75 inch rails so I can cut 60" to the right of the blade. It has two rails (front and rear) and locks on both of these giving a very sturdy fence with no movement at all when cutting. When it was working properly you could move the fence with one finger and it was really smooth, with a very accurate cursor and measurement system.
The problem lies in that the fence system is about 8 years old and about 2 or 3 years ago General International bought out Excalibur (which was a separate company) and discontinued this model..... so now I can't get parts, which I need desperately. SO... I'm looking for a replacement fence. I looked at the General Excalibur that was to replace this fence.... but it is not as good a fence in my opinion. What do you guys use and recommend?? What are it's pros and cons??
