Re: Wrinkled Housewrap :(

How many guys do you have installing it?

What I do is take 2 other guys and start at a corner and start unrolling while one guy nails the top the other streches and nails the middle and bottom. But try and keep the roll tight and dont unroll to much.

It takes time to get it right and I am sure there is a ton of different ways guys do it.

Don't you have a laser-aligned auto housewrap spool?

I don't know what else to say than to use the largest width that is suitable for the job that you are doing.
3 person job. Pull it tight, keep the roll tight and tensioned. Tack plumb at the set/install end and smooth it out as you go (like a bed sheet).

Use the house wrap tape on all edges, this also helps keep it smoothed out.

I'm sure there are other tips from members..

Use a five foot roll its easy to handle for one guy. Tack staple in the middle every 6 feet or so down the wall till you get to the end, then pull the top and bottom tight while tacking. Re adjust paper if its running away. Never staple around objects till it cut in place or you will get wrinkles.
