Wet Spray For My Walls

I'm looking to spray insulation in the walls of a investment rehab I'm doing right now. Bought the house across the street to work on over the weekends and did not want to use batt insulation.

Of course, I can get the blower from my lumber yard. But I wanted to do wet stick on the walls. I don't think anyone rents the equipment around here.

Would it be worth it to buy the pump and tank?

Where's a good spot to look for them.

Thanks in advance

Are you talking Demilac or something like that?

I belive Demilac is foam?

I'm thinking wet spray cellulose.

Foam is great, but it's not in my budget for a rehab house. I'd never get my ROI.

I never understood sealing up so tight with foam, only to add a cold air exchange anyway.

Use an HRV instead, condition the air before dumping it in.

Ask Joasis about the insulation you want

I would opt for dense pack cellulose over wet spray cellulose. You really need to give wet spray cellulose time to dry out properly. If you have the time within your plans then go for it, but I think dense pack cellulose will give you just as good a pack of insulation.

I was considering putting up plastic, then the drywall. Blowing it into the walls then before finishing the drywall. Or just finishing it and blowing it in from the outside wall.

Yeah, the spray cellulose requires a bit of time to dry before you rock. Whereas the densepack blown into the cavity dry is quicker. Poly or scrim the wall first, then blow the cellulose in. Much better on air infiltration than fiberglass.
