Traditional Cut Roof

Can anyone advise on a traditional cut roof in the uk please.
We intend to use 47mm x 195mm grade C16 wood at 600mm centres.
Does anyone have access to BS5268-3 Regs and can advise on the current specs for connection, nails, bolts etc etc? Or a decent website offering advice.

A "Roofer", as you state you are, should be self-sufficient concerning this application. Are you sure you are a Roofer?

http://www.tra.org.uk/pdf_files/pds4.pdf

http://www.timberframe.co.uk/forms/TRA%20Attic%20Bracing.pdf

47mm = 1 7/8"
195mm = 7 11/16"

600mm = 23 5/8" o.c.

Check your span charts and prints....then, as we say over here,

"Git er done."

Re: Traditional Cut Roof

That was a good post Max but I think Malco called it right.The OP was either
a HO or a hack.In the UK a hack is known as a cowboy so if the OP is from the UK he new exactly what I was saying to him.
I just hope its his roof he's making a mess of and not somebody else's.
