Tin Roof Sweat?

I am getting ready to put tin on a sun room roof {rafter and perlins}it will be insulated inside with fiberglass batts directly in the rafters{no air space}can anyone tell me if condensation on the bottom side of the tin will be a concern,as I have seen uninsulated tin sweat underneath in the mornings when the sun hits it. What if anything would you recomend I put under it and would it be a problem creating a double vapor barrier.{with the fiberglass barrier inside}.Thanks for any advice!

Re: Tin Roof Sweat?

Short answer: No, we do this all the time and I install metal roofs on new construction homes with no adverse problems.

Re: Tin Roof Sweat?

If the space above the ceiling has ventilation, you are ok. On new homes, I roll insulation over the purlins, lay metal over, and still insulate the ceiling. The real benifit to doing this is in the summer.
