Structural Supports

Looking for brackets to hold a portic gable roof / no columns. Any links or design values to help determine projection capacity?

Re: Structural Supports

You'll need to share some dimensions, live loads, materials etc. to get any kind of help on this.

Re: Structural Supports

Using a 4 foot projection, snow loads and dead loads I came in at around 980# on braces with balance on ledger. This was for a 2:1 cantilever design so It works out to almost 500# on each gusset brace. So how can I find the Fc of a 4 x4 assembly or a 4 x 6. This can be my starting point, or I can purchase an encased box to distribute the wieght around. Where can I look to find any pre made wood or cast supports that will have a design capacity? The sheathing capacity at the point load or design number I have a structural guy looking at for me.
