Maybe if you told everyone what you are trying to accomplish, someone could give you the information you're looking for.

Are you trying to add length to a solartube?
Are you looking for a highly reflective yet flexible material?

In metalworking, it's called 'Mirror finish'. There may well be a Mylar film that would accomplish the same thing.

basically I need to reflect visible, infrared, and UV which aluminum does well mirros don't.

flexible is a plus, but not necessary. I just need to be able to cut it up. And I'm trying to find the cheapest alternative (but not foil).

Yes you can get small pieces of sheet aluminum at HD. If you are looking for a highly polished aluminum sheet larger than an unrolled solartube extension (which can be as large as ? 36x36) I would try one of the specialty companies that sells products for store displays, ie Outwater Plastics.

Re: The Reflective Sheets You Find In Solar Tubes?

Ya i know Teetorbilt you just said that. I was just answering needsthingsdone in what I'm hoping to accomplish.

I need a few small ones, but a big one is fine if I can cut it up. Are they hard to cut up?

If its not a 'mirror finish' can I make it a 'mirror finish'?
(Doesn't have to be super reflective, but just a little reflective)

Heres a question. Metallic Spray Paint have metal flakes in them. Is there one with aluminum flakes with a mirror metal finish (the few aluminum I've seen don't have that mirror look to it)?

You can buy rolls of Mylar on ebay if you can't find it anywhere else. I get much more out of my plants when I use it.
