Question To Subcontractors

I am loacted in North Carolina and I am planning on holding a Free seminar geared to small subcontractors.

I am planning on covering things like how to prepare the payment application packets that the General Contractors provide. Also I would like to discuss how important it is to have bookkeeping/accounting so that job costing can be preformed and to see what the bottom line is.

I am just trying to get other topics that you as a subcontractors would like be informed on.

Thanking you in advance for taking to time to answer this post.

Re: Question To Subcontractors

Ya might be in the wrong place to pull off a seminar like that. Va, North and South Carolina's are some of the worst states for sub rates. Unless their in a big metro area or resort community it's tuff for those fellas to feed their chickens.

One of the reasons I left. The other reasons are all women related.

Re: Question To Subcontractors

IMO there are a few kinds of sub contractors. I, not a builder, hire subcontractors for some of my labor. I have pre-negotiated price lists with these sub contractors for the average job. That's not the typical sub contrctor relationship, and not the kind of sub contractor I think you are targeting.

A builder's sub contractor will often bid a job then install it, and I think that's who you are going after.
