Purlin Bracing

I am currently Contracting a residential build. The majority of the back roof line is braced by the back porch; however, the framer ran a double 2x12 about 8 foot from the back wall and it spans 24. The massive beam is only being used as purlin support. Should I be concerned about this beam failing/sagging?

What do the engineered plans call for? Are you really a home owner asking this question? Not the kind of question to ask on your first post, Need to do an introduction of who and what you do before you get much help here.

Says trade is framing, then asks if what his framer did is acceptable. No doubt, HO for sure.
