PT Retaining Wall

I am building a PT Retaining wall that is exposed on one side. I wanted to treat the below grade side before backfilling with stone and topsoil. Cuprinol used to make a below grade sealer but it contained arsenic and was discontinued and never brought back. The 2 options I can think of is an oil preservative or just use good old faithful foundation tar. The idea is to give the wall a little bit more water resistance before backfilling.

Re: PT Retaining Wall

Down here, I can get SYP treated to 2.5 CCA. That will resist pretty good. Look and see if there are any marine lumber suppliers near Lake Champlain.
