Patio Awning Covering

I currently have a wood awning covering a 12x16 patio and I'm stuck trying to decide whether to repair it, installing a new roof and updating to pressure treated wood. There is some water damage and problems with carpenter bees nesting in the wood.

Which solution would be best, update and fix the existing wood awning, purchase a cloth retractable or purchase an aluminum awning?

The difference in cost for each is within a couple of hundred dollars.
