Osb

I have used osb instead of drywall for interior ceiling and walls in a combination storage building/dog house. The scent of glue from the osb is strong. I have painted the osb to seal the wood but the aroma is still present. I am looking for a cure. Any suggestions ?

Hang drywall over it.

I don't think the materials stored there, or the dogs, will mind the stink.

Yep, shellac. Bin Zinsser white pigmented shellac.

My wife and I used to live in a house, OK, well a barn, the guy put up OSB on everything. I can back up what you say, it stinks! Makes me sick using it for framing also. If it gets wet, chunk hurler here.

But then how do you get rid of the paint smell? Sounds like a never ending cycle to me

Re: Osb

I used it to sheath the inside of a workroom once and admit it stunk for a few months but seems like the fumes outgased or I finally got used to it.
