License Class Info

cg, cd ,cr, class a what does it all mean. my current goal is to get around installing for cabinet dealers and gc's. want to install for myself. however if my client wants to move a wall im stuck. the owner builder method of circumnavigation, has its pitfalls as well. i have never poured a 20,000 sf slab, or elevated anything. but were talking about knee walls and soffited ceilings. can anyone help me decide what class of contractors license i should be going for, here in florida, any help will be much appreciated.

Re: License Class Info

GC- is commercial/residential building from small jobs to high rises. A GC and do his own roofing, except tile and hot mopped I believe. Also a GC can do his own pool but requires a electrician and plumber. A CB is what I have it is commercial/residential building up to three stories. A CR is residential only up to three stories with the ground floor that is non habital such as parking. Is your job commercial or residential?

Re: License Class Info

residential, but i wonder if installing a bar in a bar would considered comercial, or say vanities in a coffee shop. i have not yet done any work like that but it would be nice to have access to the income. by the way thanks for responding.
