I Need A New Framing Nailer

Hi I am new to this forum. I need a new framing nailer. We use clipped head nailers. I have a DeWalt that just broke down for the third time and I am done with it. I have been looking at the Hitachi NR90AD. How many of you guys have used it and what do you think?

John

hammily, if you search through the old threads you'll find that there have been a few lengthy discussions on framing nailers.

You'll find there are varied opinions and preferences.

I looked at the new hitachi (NR90ad I THINK) and I did not like it as much as the good old NR83. The NR90 has this strupid big head like the dewalt that makes it harder to get into tight places. I would get the hitachi NR83 you wont find a better gun in the world.

Just a few cents worth, my guys are hard on the guns, and I bought a few Porter Cable rebuilts....love them and 1 year and no rebuilds yet...I like my Dewalt, but like you, 4 times to the shop is getting old. My favorite was my old Duofast round head, but I am getting too old to heave it around now
