Hills Creek Dam, Oregon

We recently performed as-built surveys of emergency flood gate wire-rope replacements for the Hill's Creek Dam, east of Eugene, Oregon. We used a robotic total station positioned on the walkway along the intake tower to record the actual elevation of the bottom of each gate as they raised the gates to predetermined heights.

Beautiful site to have to work at.

Randy Fitch.

You're in my stomping grounds. Lived up there for years. I love it up there. Lots of fishing and Grouse hunting.

I had a good friend fall out of his boat and get stuck in those gates. Legend has it that they pulled his arm off trying to get the body out. I laugh when I think about it, as he was always a stubborn bastard. He would laugh too.
