Hi Anyone In Hawaii


Just wanted to know how is the hardwood flooring buisses on Oahu?

Aloha from Hawaii,
I don't sell hardwood flooring, but have installed it a few times in the islands.
The biggest concern here is moisture variance. Many homes are not insulated and may only have single wall contruction with no floor insulation.
Not every home is ideal for hardwood flooring because of these issues.
There are newer homes that are insulated and air-conditioned. They would be a better market for hardwood than older homes.
Side note: A number of clients have called me for laminate flooring installations. After the first one a few years back, I will never do it again. I was not pleased with the installation nor the overall quality of the flooring. The products I've seen here are inferior and do not hold up over time.
The only call backs I want are the ones requesting to do additional work.
