Help With Screened Porch

I've got a friend/customer that wants his covered patio screened in. I've never done one, but this would be a good opportunity to learn.
Where do you buy quality aluminum components? Who are the manufacturers?
I don't want to go to the local glass company because they are installers and won't give a competitor a good price. Any ideas?

Here's one source that may be easy for you to install.

I usually build to my own design that was developed with the homeowner, then after the openings are finished, you can go to the glass company and have them build custom screens and glass to your specs. they don't care if they install them as much as they want to keep their shop busy.

Re: Help With Screened Porch

I would try something like an all wood with vinyl screen . if ts steel or aluminum , convert it to a wood frame . Doesn't have to be very heavy or thick to staple the screen to it . Maybe some one- by treated stock screwed to metal with 1/4 inch thick bat strips to cover the staples and seams . Design it for easy installation and removal
