Help Needed From Deck Builders.....please :)

I posted this in landscaping too but think that this is the better spot for it.

I'm working on my Construction Project Management certificate and one of my projects is to prepare a cost estimate in a Bills of Quantity format for a residential fence. Any help in regards to how you would prepare one would be a tremendous help. I know or assume that there would be concrete tubes, concrete, posts, rails ect and can pull some figures for those but how do you apply costing for you equipment/overhead and anything else that you can think of that I'm not......as I'm not a builder of fences I'm a decorator and painter.
