Re: Hardie Siding Final Touches

I love Hardi, hate Hardi trim. We have gotten to where we use Maze hand-drive nails into predrilled holes, then countersink, then fill to get a good looking finish product on corners and window wraps, etc. It's time consuming and tedious. Maybe we should be using a different product for trim?

I read somewhere that Hardi or a competitor is going to produce a premade corner. This would be a great improvement. Has anyone seen this available?

Here a lot of guys use a base and snap on cap for the outside corners. The H joint covers, J in the gables and around some opening, and also a premade inside corner.

Versatex mades a one piece outside corner and different other trim pieces , but kind of limited to white or colors they say can be painted on it.

We usually use MiraTEC Trim with hardie siding.

We usually use a pre-engineered trim like smart side. I do believe the have a pre-made corner. We used to pre-drill also, there is just nothing good about that trim. Nothing.
