125.00 a square to tear off old siding, tyvek house wrap, install hardie siding. 1.00 a foot for trim. i have to buy nails because i will use nail guns. they will pay for the dump fee of the old siding.
yes we install 5 or 6 inch 1.25 foot we also get .50 cent a foot flashing. .85 cent for down spout a foot. thats about what the contractors pay if we tear off old .25 cent a foot i am just a sub with 10 men we work cincinnati, northren ky, south east indiana. my trade is vynil siding we just started fiber cement but we have installed wood many times before. not a lot different just a lot more heavy. and the dust will kill you. gutters are just part of the siding job. i can take them or leave them, the contractor we work for used to have a gutter man then he bought a gutter machine and now we run all his gutters.
THAT IS NUTS.I would say screw you. you should get some for tear off,and wraping house to. Ijust live 45 miles from you in the counrty and get more then that.
In the Detroit area I'm paying $230 per sq for new construction. That's material and labor (8 1/4 Colorplus Hardie planks) I don't know the breakdown of that number off hand.
I charge $2.50 a square foot, plus material. Material for Hardiplank in my area runs about $8.50 each for a 14 foot board.
