Gulf Shores, AL Questions

Does anyone know the average LABOR bidding rate in gulf shores for the following:
unskilled laborers
roofers
skilled labor

My brother might be moving and splitting off from our company. I know what I pay my guys here, but am concerned about the cost of living increase. Any help is appreciated. Take your breaks, it's hot!
thx,
connie

Re: Gulf Shores, AL Questions

I was born and raised in Mobile, just across the bay from Gulf Shores. Pay rate has always been rather low down there, that is why I haven't lived there in over 25 years.

Surprisingly National Estimator says that Mobile, Al is -1% off the national average, much higher than I would have thought, must be the storms. National Average Via National Estimator

$24.71 1 laborer

$33.62 1 roofer

$30.00 1 carpenter

Re: Gulf Shores, AL Questions

My parents live in Gulf Shores and I own a condo there. My Father is a retired contractor who contracts 5 days a week (Some retirement I know). The rates are increasing quickly there due to the growth, and hurricane damage work. It would be approx 10% higher than rural Tenn. and about the same as Nashville etc.
