Be carefull when dealing with Dryvit walls.
In many areas, they are not permitted on wood frame structures, but are fine for concrete walls. The reason goes back to the many problems with moisture and in some cases, mold.
Make sure you have something in writing when it comes to making penetrations in the Dryvit system. - Either from designer, owner or Dryvit.
If you are applying cultured stone, the will be instructions on how to apply the stone to different surfaces. Cultured stone is considered a adhered vener by the codes and it relies on adhesion and not nails. Dryvit has been through this before, so if they should supply any technical support, they will tell you how to attach the stone.
If you end up with a typical Dryvit situation/problem, a forum opinion will get you no where in court. Dryvit has been through many, so they should know. If you have a "Dryvit" knock-off system, be very careful about the instructions.
