Drain Tile Question

does anyone install foundation drain tile around a monolithic slab on grade foundation or a shallow footer/wall/ slab on grade foundation where freeze/thaw is not going to happen. i'm talking about a filled raised lot in southern florida.
thanks

Re: Drain Tile Question

Provided soils are well drained, I can't imagine what puprose drain tile might serve in tropical climates.

Re: Drain Tile Question

you have enough rain, or a sprinkler system capable of floating a concrete floor slab, you have more problems than a little drain tile will help.

Re: Drain Tile Question

There is no need for a drain tile system. Even if you have footers and there is no crawlspace or full basement and the foundation will be filled with a slab ontop, you still don't need a drain.
