Re: Carpet Glue

I've used many adhesives over many,(45) years,in construction and flooring and never heard of an asbestos based glue,or an asbestos additive in any of them.

Re: Carpet Glue

Black asphalt based glues (Pre 1985) may have been laced with asbestos. Would suggest having tested when there is a ?. Pass cost on to customer.

Re: Carpet Glue

im working in a building that was built in 1962. we had it tested, there is asbestos in the acoustic, carpet glue, tile adhesive, and the joint compound. great place. don't know if that helps, just throwing it out here.
