Building Home Near Power Lines


How do you guys feel about buying a Custom home or building one near power lines? Any concerns

Not recommended simply because of public perception. Scientific evidence is devoid of proof but there may be magnetic 'waves' or 'alien hotspots'.

No matter what, it's still a hard sell to the general public.

Market them as custom homes next to nature trails. Generally the power lines will have dirt or sand roads under them, these are nature trails and the poles are places for the birds to nest. Just make sure that there are not any dirt bikers using the nature trails when you show the homes.

Where are you at in VA? I know of a contractor in Eastern VA that does EMF investigations that can tell you whether the lot is bad or good, EMF-wise.
