What are the going rates to install base kitchen cabinets? Do you charge by unit or by LF? Can i get some samples of prices? Thanks

Re: Base Cabinet Installation
Dean-
Any responses that you receive with $$ attached to them are truly useless. We don't know where you live, what the market is like, what your overhead is, if these are Mills Pride cabs from HD or ultra high-end custom units, whether the floors are level, if you're on the 40th floor of a condo tower, or a pile of other factors that affect the price. Re: Base Cabinet Installation
For those that install boxes here, the price ranges from $40-70 for bases. Your community may or may not accept this.

Re: Base Cabinet Installation
I usually figure $ 30.00 per LF. That includes wall and base units. Things like appliance garages, utility & oven cabinets, special order items like tilt out trays, etc. are extra.

Re: Base Cabinet Installation
I have a friend who works for the cabinet company that I get my cabinets from. He will install a kitchen persay 12'x8' L shaped w/ standard bases/drawer cabinets and 36" wall cabinets, as well install the laminate countertop for 500$ labor. I cant compete w/ him on just the cabinet/counter installs due to these things:
He doesnt touch electrical, and wont do anything with plumbing. All has to be ready for him. I however who the customer is paying to do the job have to take care of these things or have them taken care of. Also I have overhead, where he is doing it on the side; after work or weekend. So that goes to say; charge what you have to, to do the job correctly. Everyone has to make different amounts of money.

Re: Base Cabinet Installation
As a quick figure method I have generally been close to where I need to be by figuring $75 per unit. This even applies to base moulding, crown, etc. (5 lengths of crown x $75 etc.) Not a perfect fit everytime but it will put you in the ballpark in this area. Does not include loading in cabinets. Just unboxing and installation.
