12' Door Opening

I have an opening for a 12' door, a Nana wall would be the ideal solution but was wondering what options are available outside of using a Nana wall? I am wanting to see what options are out there with cost being a consideration.

Thanks for the input
Dave

Re: 12' Door Opening

A Nana wall are those big glass doors that fold up like a bi-fold to give you a clear opening when open.

NW, I don't quite understand your question. Are you looking for something similar to a Nana wall, do you want it be wide open like a Nana wall. Or would some tall windows and french doors suffice.

Re: 12' Door Opening

the Andersen Frenchwood has a system which is expandable where you can put two 3' panels on the outside and two moveable 3' panels on the inside to slide over the fixed. Is this an interior wall?

Most window/door manufacturers make 12' OXXO doors. I'm guessing he's looking for an opening larger than 6'?

Re: 12' Door Opening

I was visiting a home which was around 80 years old and noticed a sliding door system between the living room and dining room. It was a pocket door system which swang both ways-opening though was only 6' and wall was thicker than a typical 4.5"

NanaWall is $1,000 a foot.

You might check out these folks as well:

http://www.lacantinadoors.com/

They've been sending me info for a few weeks but I've not gotten any pricing from them yet.

Marvin's Ultimate Sliding French, 12' version:

I've installed the 16' version as well, and it's a great product.

PM if you want to know pricing.

Hafele makes the Al Fresco system for exterior sliding/folding doors. Look at pg. 249 of the Hafele catalog.

Re: 12' Door Opening

Christopher, Tried to send a PM but instructions in the FAQ were no help. Anyway I would love to have more information on the pricing of the Marvin door. It fits my needs exactly and has to be much more affordable than a Nana Wall.
Thanks
Dave
