Thumbs up tiling fields for water drainage

farmers in the midest call tilers, to tile for field drainage to make their fields drain better so they have better yields on their crops. let me know if you've heard of it before

I've heard of farmers, tilers, fields, field drainage and crops, but never the midest.

It has been around for many, many years and a very profitable way to use land. - I think the original poster was refering to the Midwest and not midest. Originally, they use clay drain tile with open joints made from good old local clay.

That heavy, black Iowa soil takes time to reduce the misture to a good agricultural level. Too much drainage too fast is not good for crops, people or buildings. - This is a very sound system.
