Like I said, "why I work" and I've got 2 more of them.

Looking good Question - what are you using for your exterior filler?

Sorry , I'm not familiar with the terminology. All trimwork and (packing?) is Azek. Homeslicker breather matrix over #30 felt. Prefinished Western Red Cedar shakes. Nail hole filler, I'm not certain, but I'll try to find out. It fills nicely and sands easily is all I do know.

Thanks, always looking for good exterior filler. I quite often use body filler, but a bit of a pain to keep mixing it up. I've used a couple of other types, but have not been able to go back a couple of years later to see how they performed. Anyone else got input?

You threw me at first, I was in carpenter mentality, not painters. One of the few things I haven't done on this house to large extent is painting. The painter left when weather got cold and hasn't been back. Now that the siding is all but complete, maybe he'll get crackin'.

Sorry, I assumed you did the filling. I gather it was the painter, that's why you didn't know what type of filler was used. For us it depends on the job. Sometimes the painter does the filling, sometimes it has to be "ready to paint" so we do the filling. I'd ask the painters, but they would probably tell me to side it.
