Wood or Fiberglass Patio Door

I'm currently building a new SFD for a client and we're using Andersen 400 series windows throughout and an Andersen 6'0"x8'0" french door in the great room to the deck. The windows for the great room were ordered with the interiors unfinished so they can be stained. The only problem is that after the client made some changes the windows and doors were more expensive than what was budgeted for so part of the solution was to cut the french door off the order (saving about $2750). So now I have to find a cheaper 6'x8' french patio door that is either wood or fiberglass on the inside so it can be stained to match the windows. I know that if we use fiberglass and stain the door it won't match the wood windows exactly (though I hope we can get close). I got an estimate for a Therma-Tru door at around $1750 (I don't have the estimate in front of me) but that was still too expensive for the client. The windows and front door arrive in a week and this door is going to keep me from getting the structure weathered in so we can continue so I'm trying to find an alternative ASAP. Can anyone suggest any other manufacturers/products that are not vinyl/aluminum or prefinished on the interior?

pick up a cheapo $300 white vinyl unit from one of the big box stores-no joke...in a few years when the HO comes up w/the funds to do it right, they can order a Frenchwood to complete the installation. You said nearly $1800 for a door-is there another $300 for the painter to stain? Maybe the HO should have kept the order like it is but leave off one (or two) of the windows.
