Re: Windows By 'thermal Industries"--opinion
I never have heard of them but Google reveals:
http://www.thermalindustries.com/ History of Thermal Industries With almost 50 years experience in the vinyl window industry, Thermal Industries has developed an extensive line of high quality, energy efficient windows that help millions of homeowners to live more comfortably. As one of the pioneers in the design and manufacture of insulating replacement windows and doors, Thermal Industries has taken this knowledge and expertise a step further to develop new and innovative products, many of which are industry firsts. • It all began in the early 1960's, when Thermal Industries introduced America to the first custom-vinyl replacement window. Late 1960's, Thermal developed an insulating glass vinyl replacement window with a tilt-in sash design for easy cleaning. • Late 1970's, Thermal introduced the first custom bow and bay window designs. • Next, Thermal captured the distinct textured look of stained glass in our insulating glass units with the DreamGlas® Gallery Collection, enabling homeowners to add a unique, decorative flair to their homes. • In the mid-1990's, Thermal Industries incorporated their custom vinyl window and door systems into an insulating, polystyrene wall system to create the DreamspacE Patio Enclosure System. • Also in the mid-90s, Thermal took a giant step into the outdoor products market with the innovative vinyl Dream Deck and Dream Rail Systems. These systems introduced homeowners to the world of Barefoot FriendlyTM and maintenance-free deck surfaces. • The new millennium began for Thermal Industries with the creation of the ASPECT (Advanced Structural Performance Engineering Technology) family of double hung window products. The design of parallel I-beam frame construction and enhanced water management create a system that exceeds NFRC and AAMA standards for air and water infiltration. • Most recently, Thermal Industries introduced a new product family featuring Thermal's first replacement Single Hung Window, along with our first Hurricane or Impact window line, SafeHarbor. Today, Thermal Industries has become part of the Atrium Family of Brands. Together, these companies make Atrium the largest manufacturer of vinyl and aluminum windows and patio doors in North America, producing 4.5 windows and patio doors every second, every day of the year. That's 14.5 million windows and doors every year! Why not let one of those be yours today! |

that statement bothers me just a tad. hope they are'nt a "commodity type window" like silverline or survivor. something tells me thermal industries is more along the lines of gorell and shuco. |

Have been a dealer for 25 years. Outstanding dealer & customer support. Factory repair team available to respond to any product problems (which have been minimal). Even slider doors are Energy Star Rated. Not so with some other manufacturers. Wide selection of residential and light commercial models. We have installed many brands over the years, but none equals Thermal Industries dealer and customer support. That's not to say that there aren't other reliable brands on the market, but most don't have factory repair support team to respond at the customer's location when there is some problem. You pay more than some other brands, but you get more too.

TI's windows aren't bad. I have one of their sunrooms with 6 SPD's. They're pretty airtight. There are better windows out there with more features and options. I'd say they're a mid to upper mid grade window.

I have been with ti for a while, have their exclusive park avenue window disributotship. Great marketing and sales support and good local servicing so you dont have to deal with manufacturer issues and warehousing.

I have also used Thermal windows with excellent results. I would recommend adding them to your window replacement lineup.

Decent window, not the most visually appealling imho... I think that their Dreamwood product is a pretty cool concept, I just wonder how it stands the test of time. I keep them in my back pocket if a customer needs an option that my primary brand doesn't offer like the vycap dark brown exterior.
