What are you guys selling your gutter for?
I understand if you not interested in sharing, thats ok with me. I am looking to see what I can get away with once it starts getting busy this summer.
I know sometimes a homeowner will be fine with 7 bucks a foot, and other times will snuff at 4 bucks a foot. Generally, I am wondering where a good starting point on homeowners is. If you interested in sharing let me know.
Thanks!
Ryan

Yeah this business varies so much. Lots of middlemen, contractors get in a job and can get away with selling it at 8-9. But guys just bidding it have to be under 6 to get it usually around here.
Gutter machine prices keep dropping, so the barrier to entry is getting smaller. I think seamless gutters are going to become more affordable in the future....
I will start bidding higher once people get busy...if ever!
Oh and the materials are expensive....hangers, screws, zips, elbows, caulking bring the price to much higher per foot than you would think. Not to mention there is lots of waste, if your doing it yourself there is not much, but if you got guys installing for you, there can be a lot.
But luckily its still not worth it for small stormers and contractors to get there own gutter machine!

I normally get from $5 to $9 a ft. Depends on gutter guards, or inside outside corners, and how far I have to travel to do the job.

We get 12 to 14 LF. It I can make money doing it, I don't want to do it at all. Plus most of our jobs are 2-3 stories

Wow, a pricing question that was answered so nicely. I am impressed.
That was good information, I am glad you asked that question and everyone joined in answering.

By coincidence we are doing a job that includes gutters and leaf guards. We don't price by the foot, just try to calculate the time it will take us. Just for kicks I ran it through the calculator and was a bit embarrassed by the per ft. price. I added in the length of downspouts and was a little less embarrassed, but still.
Apparently we don't really know what we're doing and need to finance the learning curve.
Good Luck
Dave

gutter prices
Wow. I am amazed at some of the prices people are getting for a foot of gutter. I have a hard time in Northern VA, getting 4 bucks from contractors, but I work for maybe 10, who usually keep me busy. Hope this helps.
