What to charge to install exterior door

What to charge in philadelphia to rip out exterior door and screen door. Then replace rotted wood and install new exterior door and screen door. What to charge just for labor not including materials.

I'd vote for $1,000. It has very little to do with the cost of installing a door. Philly is not that far away from Atlantic City where your earnings potential can really multiply. Probably better chances than using someone else's numbers to price a contract.

Good Luck
Dave

or was that your earnings can really subtract? I forget which, but still just as safe.

OK Gene, here you go and I only have 60 posts.

Here is what I would charge in Philly....

Drive into Center City $250
Add for traffic delays $115
To pay the guy to watch my truck and tools all day $20 (or 3 40 oz Malt liquors, whichever is cheaper. Remember, don't give them to him until end of day)
Meter money x 15% $21.50
Hazardous work pay $450
Actual labor (standard install) $600
Cover lost scrap revenue when someone steals old storm door $75
2 hr extra labor for time spent dodging ________ (dogs, drug dealers, bullets) $150

Am I forgetting anything? I don't think we need any permits so you can save the HO that and forget about the city wage tax, you won't be there long enough.

So that brings us to a total of $1681.50. Good price for this area

SOUNDS VERY MUCH LIKE NEW YORK, EXCEPT FOR THE $20 TO WATCH YOUR TRUCK, my guys would require $110 for an 8ball
