Re: Vinyl Siding Applicators Rate Per

O P Where is around here ?

Here in Southern Maryland 160 per sguare up to 25 square and then 145 per square after up to 49 square 140 for total square after 50 square. We also add 18 per sq for 16 feet above foundation per sq and 36 from 25 feet and so on, As you know it is hard to estimate these 30ft + as it is to do them fachia is an easy on to figure at 3.50 per lf. I believe we are to cheap as we have work that will last well into the end of the season. 3-5 man crews. Were on one know that is 74 sq that is 52 foot upto the gable in my neighborhood that is being done in most least preference yellow yuk

Re: Vinyl Siding Applicators Rate Per

I charge about $215 per square with material. Material is about $45 a square. I charge about $5 per linear ft. of fascia board and add extra for soffit. I charge about $50 to cap a window frame, $75 for a door and $100 for a garage door.

That's what I charge a home owner. We pay anywhere from $80-$120 depending who we sub it to.

Re: Vinyl Siding Applicators Rate Per

The only reason I ask is because thats pretty close to my rate if I do it myself. If I use subs I charge a up to 300 a sq for builders grade material. Some the high end companys I've seen are getting 4 and 5. Vynl is a crazy biz, unlike any other trade.

Re: Vinyl Siding Applicators Rate Per

Windows are crazier, but then again those can be vinyl too. We make good loot using the subs to do the siding. I've never mis-measured a siding job either. If were gonna profit $50 a square and most houses are 30 squares plus, that's not bad. Now add in all the trim work and you should make a good 2-3k profit in a few days.

I remember one time I made 2k myself off a sale, and I get 25% commission off profit. You do the math.

Re: Vinyl Siding Applicators Rate Per

Did a little hand off to a customer, Gave him the applicator. I told the applicator 39 sq total.

Applictor got together with customer and ordered 64 sq priemium siding in a custom color.

Now customer is stuck with about 25 sq.

If you know anyone that wants to do thier home in a medium green give me a yell.

I can't stand it when bull headed people don't listen.

165.00 a sq. to install siding. I deal with Harvey Industries and just received a letter from them stating that Alcoa and siding, roofing has risen 7-10%. So be careful pricing things.

Sady: Do you travel. Looking for siding sub for the area of Norwood, MA which is 20 miles south of Boston. Are you interested. Lots of work.

Re: Vinyl Siding Applicators Rate Per

I can't believe what I am reading here. I should have moved years ago before I decided to go back to school and get a job with a large company. You can make a decent living but you will never be wealthy working for someone else. For 9yrs (1992-2001) I installed vinyl siding (sub) in the New Orleans area. I'd get $45-$55 sq for siding and $1.75-$2.25 for soffit/fascia and drip edge. These prices are just for labor. My dad still owns his own home improvement business and he pays about those same rates. He also bids jobs at around $175-$185/sq (labor and material) and still looses a ton of jobs to his competitors because his price is too higher (their bidding $150-$160/sq).

Hello everyone I have a few questions.

I am interested in starting my own siding building in Richmond, Va. I really don't know much about getting started and contracting out. Could someone help me by providing a little knowledge. Thank you so very much.

Yea I have some advice, move out of Virginia.

They have what's called a contractors board, one rep each, of the 12 biggest contractors making all the rules. Kinda like the shark telling the guppy where to swim.
