Thoughts On Boral Versetta Cultured Stone Siding (nail/screw)?

Came across Boral Versetta cultured stone siding where you nail/screw it on instead of using mortar. Anyone have experience with it? How does it "look" compared to the mortar products Boral has? Ease of installation? Other concerns?

Thanks!

At $15/sq ft I can buy mortar cultured stone and pay a guy to slap it up.

You might not have to stick that stuff to the wall but you still have to cut and position it.

Yeah... Price is a concern (although, the price I got quoted was $12 here). It looks interesting to us as it can potentially be done in house and has (apparently) a huge time saving factor. The time savings and not having to sub it out may make up for some of the extra cost.

Just wondering if anyone has any direct experience with it so I can make an "informed" decision beyond just price.

Looks like a product geared to the HO/DIY market, doubtful anyone around here will have any experience with it.
