Re: Siding Pay Scale

I'm in New England. We work in NH, Maine and Massachusetts.
We don't do new construction and we strip off the old siding on every job.

We pay
$100 per sq
$20 per sq. to strip the old siding
$10 per sq. to add fanfold insulation
$20 to cap windows or doors
$3 for soffit and fascia
$1.5 for rake boards
$15 for corner rake returns

On average we end up paying approx. $200 per sq with full coverage
Maybe it's the area but I think your getting the shaft.

Re: Siding Pay Scale

$50 / square for siding - $3 / linear ft for soffit & fascia is the bottom price level for installers in my area, assuming it's just labor.

That being said, you can't expect novice installers to be paid the same as people who have been doing it for 25 years (although most contractors apparently think it's ok).

If someone offered me $35 / square to get on a 2 story gable, I would put my tools in the box and head for the nearest beer stop.
